About Suburban Management

Suburban Management has been in the home finance industry for more than 30 years. Founder and current Chief Executive Officer, Michael O’Mullane set up a group of Co-Operative Housing Societies back in 1974. Through the 1980’s and early 1990’s Suburban Management’ s Co-Operative Housing Societies loan portfolio grew to become one of the largest co-operative housing groups in Victoria.

In the early 1990’s Suburban refocused its direction in the home loan market by becoming a Mortgage Manager, at which time forging a relationship with a wholesale funder – The Primary Industry Bank of Australia, later to become Origin Mortgage Management Services – established by the ANZ Bank Group. That was almost seventeen years ago.

Today, Suburban has continued to grow its loan book and expand its business by increasing the number of wholesale funders it deals with. This enables Suburban to offer competitively priced mortgage loans and an increased range of products to compliment our great service.

Suburban also has an environmental conscience, encouraging its borrowers to become carbon neutral through its relationship with Climate Positive. Visit the website www.climatepositive.org It is also a major shareholder in the research vessel, SV Pelican 1, promoting environmental awareness through marine research, education and social projects.
